While Israel continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip, many in the Israeli media consider that Europe does not support it enough. The term “Eurabia”, coined by Geert Wilders, is often used to describe a Europe where the Muslim population is increasingly influential. The term has been taken up in Israel to explain why Europe is becoming more anti-Semitic and hostile to the country.
Yaakov Kirschen (b. 1938) is a US born Israeli cartoonist. Resident in Israel since 1971, he has worked for The Jerusalem Post since 1973, where he created his Dry Bones comic strip.
