At last: An admission of truth (probably ’cause she didn’t get a PPE)

“..……. readers of this blog ought to know that manifestos are not worth the paper they are written on.  Not my view, but that of the High Court.”

So writes Baroness Deech.

And what have we been saying for yonks?

Update: Following that statement and in view of this post on LabourList which has just appeared, I can but link to that which Iain Dale published on 10th April 2010 – to which Dick Puddlecote added another: “Page 66: ”The legislation will ensure that all restaurants will be smoke-free; all pubs and bars preparing and serving food will be smoke-free; and other pubs and bars will be free to choose whether to allow smoking or to be smoke-free. In membership clubs the members will be free to choose whether to allow smoking or to be smoke-free.”Patricia Hewitt decided that choice isn’t any of our business.

Against Labour’s dismal record, Cameron could not gain an overall majority – probably because the Conservative Party did not contest the 2010 General Election, but I digress.

And don’t let me start on the Coalition’s Programme for Government…………………….
